📍 Location: Minji Nam’s Music Studio, Burke, VA
⏰ Times: daily 9 AM–3 PM
🎤 Final Performance: Friday, August 15, 3 PM, 2025
🎥 **Optional Recording Session: Saturday, August 16th, 2025
Our camp offers three distinct tracks tailored to meet the needs of musicians of all levels:
Track One: Regular Track
For students of all ages and skill levels to focus on:
🎻 Studying their instrument through individual lessons
🎼 Learning music history and theory (ear training, sight-reading, listening quizzes)
🎶 Chamber music coaching
🎤 Performance at the end of the week (Friday, August 15, 3 PM)
💰 Tuition: $950
Track Two: Recording Track
Includes everything in the Regular Track, plus:
🎥 A professional individual recording session on Saturday, August 16, with Ms. Minji Nam accompanying the student.
📀 Recording materials suitable for summer festival auditions, college/graduate school applications, or scholarships.
💰 Tuition: $1,200
Track Three: Music Education Track
Designed for college-level music education majors, this track focuses on:
🎓 Practicing teaching skills with feedback from faculty.
🎻 Opportunities to teach individual lessons on their instrument.
📚 Giving short presentations on music history and theory.
🎶 Engaging in chamber music and performance activities alongside peers.
*Participants in the Teacher Track will receive a personalized letter of recommendation from a member of our faculty,
highlighting their teaching experience and skills. This letter can be a valuable addition to future job applications or graduate school submissions.
💰 Tuition: $950
Early Bird Discount: $50 off for applications submitted by April 1st, 2025
Regular Deadline: May 1st, 2025
No application fee
$75 Non-refundable deposit due: June 1st, 2025
Note: Students bring their own lunch and snacks.
Students who participate in our Summer Music Camp will become eligible to participate in additional competitions and festivals affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
This exclusive opportunity allows students to showcase their talents, gain performance experience, and connect with a broader community of young musicians.
